I have a lot to say good about Swift, after 8 years with them.
Not much good about the lease program, however. I am still a company driver for a good reason.

 

Oh ... I know why. And it's not what the TTR cannon is ... As far as your driver stuck for 4 weeks ... Well, that has nothing to do with the lease and everything to do with an idiot who hasn't a clue how to manage a business.

 

Maybe some reading comprehension help is needed , perhaps.

I asked you the question ... I know the answer.

 

I drove for Swift several times. Nothing bad to say about them. But I knew what they were and knew what to expect. That’s the key. Know yourself first.

 

Why don’t you tell us if you know the answer ?

 

By virtue of the fact that this driver asked the question, says he's unprepared to manage a business ... Doesn't matter if he leases with Swift, anyone else or his uncle dies and wills him a free truck ... Plain pure luck is the only thing that will keep him from failing.

And businesses lease trucks for the same reason that a business does anything ... It's more profitable. But it's the how. And it's not what you or any of the other TTR clones think it is ... Here's a clue, if you actually run all the numbers the cost of a lease truck is about a break even with a company truck and may actually cost the company more to run on a per mile basis.
