What's the best way to clean my windshield after driving for the day? I hate when my windshield is dirty and I'm always going to blue beacon weekly for a wash. The brushes in the truck stops are crap too.

    Any suggestion is appreciated

During the warm summer months, I’ve found straight tap water with a cup or so of white vinegar does just as good as anything. That and drive thru as many rain storms as possible.

1 quart spray bottle ($1 @ dollar store) with 1 cup ammonia, rest a good bug removing windshield washer fluid; spray windshield, let soak a minute or two and then use windshield washers. Part of windshield not cleared by wipers can get nasty but area of vision is great.

I found that a weekly application of Rainx during the season makes the bugs come off a lot easier.

Does this work after the fact or does it have to be done before?

You dragged around bulk cement powder too?

I've got a separate spray bottle of vinegar just to clean up my windshield & mirrors.

It needs to be applied to a clean windshield.

If you’re going to buy a squirt bottle, buy a good one that’s rated for chemicals. In the cleaning products aisle at Lowe’s, they have high-volume, chemical-rated Zep brand bottles. That’s the aisle straight inside their front door. There are two sizes to choose from. They’re a lot more durable and squirt farther than dollar store junk.
