“DriveCam” brand driver cameras won’t do that.

But I’m not interested in getting in a driver cam debate. For the record, I HATE them! My company installed them and I’m the loudest opponent of them out of 150+ drivers.

Don’t blame you. But the drive cams do turn themselves on and off. I’ve been watching at our place who it’s been happening to, and it’s the drivers that have repeatedly been caught on their phones, and doing other things. I’m thinking they are checking them at random.

Well, I respect your thoughts on it. It’s entirely possible drive cam has changed their settings. You’re the only person I’ve heard that has said that following too close alone would trigger an event. Sure, once it’s triggered they’ve been reviewing the footage and calling drivers in for following too close- but following too close hasn’t been th trigger.

But like I said, I’m sure as the technology has grown you’re probably right.

In our company trucks you can block them with the right side visor.:p You can just say that the sun was in your eyes...what are they gonna do about It?
We have had drivers get warnings about doing it after sunset though...

Then you have those places that will cut a big notch out of it.
