    Volvo D12 – 1997-2007 Model – Heavy Diesel Tuner

Give these a call. A tune will deff wake it up. Then you can decide if you want a bigger turbo or not. If it's a VGT turbo and you go to an old style turbo someone will have to go into the ecm and re program it

I checked it out. My question is there a cheaper alternative? $1500 seems to be a lot for a chip module.

Not really. That will pay for itself in no time with fuel savings. Your 02 it looks like you'll have to send them your ecm.

Install a pyro if you don't have one

Open drivers door and look for the sticker on the B-pillar. Will have the specs of the truck.

I’m wondering if you have a light weight spicer tranny in the truck, but no matter what, get the model number of the trans and see what it can handle.

This is what my rating says. What does it mean? In terms of torque ability.

So pulling heavy loads(45k)on hills shouldn’t be that big a issue? My problem is even on the slightest hill, my truck loses so much power. Rpm drops significantly and my speed drops to 40 to 50mph

3.70 is an all around great ratio for running in the mountains. Your 385 hp is the issue. Give those guys a call on that website i linked. That tune will pay for itself in fuel savings
