Installing Turbo on Volvo D12 Engine Safe??

    Just curious, are there other companies or software that can achieve more hp? Or are these the only people that can do this.

    There are others. DO NOT HAVE THE ECM TUNED AT A TRUCK DEALER OR AT THE MANUFACTURER. They will have to tune it according to government specs.

    INSTEAD, There are performance shops that can tell you yea or nay by your engine serial number. If you cannot find your engine serial number or your transmission model number, use the VIN number from the truck and visit any parts counter. They can tell you which engine and transmission you have. You will need this info for the performance shop.

    BTW, better be prepared to spend $10 grand or better.

    Nobody in the states does this type of work for the D12 or D13. The factory 465/1650 might be the only option. The OP is already not interested in a plug-in module for $1500.... what makes you think he will be willing to spend 10k on a nonexistent custom tune on a D12?
