I had NO intention of doing it myself. I posted a few days ago that they said I'd have to wait until that day for them to do it. Well I waited and they were still too busy.
Anyway, they never charged me or wrote anything up, just said to go try it first, so no harm done. They said they could order it from the VIN. But I wasn't sure I'd be in town so I haven't done anything yet.

Yep it's one of that company's requirements. I'm not supposed to know where it is though. That black box was about the size and weight of a radar detector, just flapping around in the empty space. Went nowhere and just tied into power so I'm sure that's it. My credit was good so I assume it is at least becoming fairly standard, or maybe just with first-time buyers at least.
I presume if I disconnect it it will cease functioning.

It's difficult to ascertain whether you were serious or trying to be funny. If you were trying to be funny, you did a piss poor job of it in my estimation. If you were serious, you have your priorities all kinds of f'd up. Either way, the statement alone says a lot about your character.[/quote]
What do expect from Commi-Fornia, MilkMan? LOL

Ahh yes, when I worked at GM, they had the same signs out front... "14073 days worked without a Lost Workday Case"
I believe the only thing that qualified as a lost workday would be if an employee actually died on the line (which did happen a few times). Other than that, they'd send you down to medical to have your severed limb sewn back on... slap a broom in your good hand and let you continue to work.
Believe me, when you're working final assembly and it costs $100,000 a minute if the line goes down, they will kick your corpse under the line and continue working as if nothing ever happened.

How do they tell the difference between the working ones and the stiffs?
heh heh heh.....sorry........couldn't pass that one up

Well, a bit more to be honest. I know a couple of Kommiefornian's here, and it would be waaaay outta character for either of them to make such a statement. -
