    They should teach all of that...Hazmat CDL test is basicaly how to transport it, no science background is required. If you are going to get a Hazmat certification on your license make sure that when you get your permit you apply for the background check (it takes about 3-4 weeks), the school should help you with this. I would also apply for your TWIC card at the same time as it takes the same amount of time.
