the boosleman and sapp bro. truckstops out there all have free wifi as do the Iowa rest areas. there's probably more out there then most other places ironically
Yup, even the J in council bluffs has free wi-fi. LOL And there are many rest areas along I29 that have it.
I got that exhaust fixed today. Man I must have always had some degree of a crack or hole in there. I got in and wasn't sure if it was me or the truck next to me idling, and I was sure my jake wasn't working because I couldn't hear the thing. Wow is it quiet in there now! They sure took their time though... $220 to replace a foot of flex pipe. (and 2 gallons of oil).
I think the whole CRST reference got out of proportion everyone was confused... Don't worryabout it MM Beatrice NE Eclpise Educate me please so I don't have to plan my rns around TA, PILOT and LOVES.... LOL Bout Darn Time.... Send me some info on hotspots please. I ignorant as to who offers what. Thanks As for an Update today I just fiddled around with the truck. Making sure everything is where I want it to be. Zipp-ties here, velcro there. Stuff I probably should have done before but only thought about as I was runnin the roads watching stuff bounce around the cab.... Mounted the new Micro-wave so now I can have some warm meals. I stocked up on the Hormel non-refridgerated meals.. Won't be home cookin but better than ham and cheez or PB&J everyday...... AL I picked up a neat fan called O2 Cool that is both AC and DC battery... Uses 8D's.. so far it works pretty good for pulling in some outside air... walmart for $17. SOLD!!!!!
your online now so just google up the sapp brothers and the bosselmans (which are now pilots too) you can get there locations online. they are mostly across 80. they all have free wifi. also every rest area in IA has it. not the greatest, but it works they want $30 for the cheap plastic fan they sell in the truckstops. If I wanted to spend that much i'd find a roach motel somewhere
Alot of times if you park at a truckstop that has a hotel next door, you can use the hotels wifi for free rather than paying for the truckstop's service.
I have the same one, cut the plug/transformer off and put a 12v plug on and it works like a charm. Said 40 hours on 8 D cells on low should go weeks off the truck.
