Just an expression, kids are good, need full time employment.
Company I'm with is bidding on bridge construction around the Va. area, possible full time work soon.
New to driving, working for a small crane & rigging company part time to get experience.
Banking $ for start up,have about 80% of it,would rather own my own truck, possibly could work for the same company I'm with now but as an Owner Operator.
Seeking all and any suggestions,Thanks!

We (Rob and I) were finally able to get together and work on his truck today. Between Rob and Hwypilot running their tails off and myself running out to Idaho and back and forth and then Thanksgiving it's been hard to schedule a time to fix his truck. But we finally managed. That's the good news...... The bad news... he needs a complete Transmission. Removed the Aux. (rear) box this afternoon found more damage than was expecting. Splitter gear (center gear in picture) was completely stripped, splitter yoke was bent, and splitter countershaft gears had teeth knocked off. R/S Countershaft bearing race had spun in main transmission case causing bearing to fail which allowed countershaft to misalign which wiped out the splitter gears. All these failure are more than likely due to the Transmission cooler leaking coolant into the transmission. We replaced the Transmission cooler a few weeks ago so we could add antifreeze to his radiator since it had plain water in it since the motor mount repair.
We found a transmission for his truck already, just need to remove his and reassemble for a core. We won't be able to pull trans out and exchange until Tuesday since I have to go load tomorrow and deliver in Baltimore Monday AM. I'll work on his wipers and finish the roof repair when I get back tomorrow after loading. It won't be long and the Purple Hippo can dance again!!!!!!Attached Files:
