Hey there PP - thanks for all the great posts! Sorry about your lost phone, you may be able to recover at least some of your numbers - it takes some time though.

Pull your phone records for as long as you possibly can online, or call customer service and have them mail you hard copies of your previous bills. Then just start scanning through them when you have the time, make a list (or use copy and paste commands online and paste them to a text file). Once you have a list, sit down at a phone (landline with unlimited is always the cheapest) and start calling em if you're not sure who they are.

I worked as a manager for NEXTEL years ago, and this process helped tons of people after drowning or losing their phone. Other folks here might have something even better, but I came up with this one out of necessity.

Good luck and good business out on the road - you've got it running!

    PharmPhail and Baack Thank this.

Totally! As long as I'm ahead of a company job I'll be happy. If/when it starts to look like I'd be able to pay a driver and still make something I'll be even happier.

what burns me up is I spend 99.9% of the time WELL under the speed limit. It was 59 because I was in a 60. I got a call from the receiver to give directions and while I looked for a pen the speed changed to 45 a good half mile before the next town. They got me 2 blocks in.

Isn't it illegal to fish at the mouth of the stream???

So far I hate Virginia! No luck there. That's where I got pulled behind the scale too.

Sorry about your ticket PP. I don't know how true this is, as I have never tested it. But it has been told to me that if you mail in the ticket with a money order (or some form of payment) for $ 1.00 over the amount of the ticket. It won't be placed on your license, if they have no forwarding address to refund the dollar. Anyone else ever heard of such a thing?

I stop by a Volvo dealer today, as I was passing by. There was a VT880 (2006) on the lot prodly displayed. Beautiful truck. Anyway I stop in to inquire about it and the salesman gave me the keys and told me to take it for a test drive. (Trusting folks) Anyway, I only drove it around the parking lot and out behind the service department (never got past 5th gear). That is one fine truck. 13sp with all the bells and whistle. Only problem was, It was about 30 Thousand out side of my price range. The asking price was 79,500 + Tax. I'm in the 40 to 50 thousand range. Maybe, this one will go on the wish list along with the new corvette, and custom motorcycle built by the Tuttles from OCC. Good luck to me with that.

So tomorrow morning I load up in Ayden, NC and deliver in Little Falls, MN. THEN, I take a load from MN to Miami, FL.

Anyone want to place bets on when I arrive in Miami??

hint: if you divide the miles by 60 and then by 11 you're gonna lose some money lol!
