I used "transport" in my company name as well. I agree with you, I think it sounds more professional.

If I were to ever start up my own trucking company, I couldn't use my last name. There's a fairly large California company that already uses my last name with trucking after it. I might be able to use transport, but I don't really know how that works.

It's just a pipe dream anyway. I don't know enough about being a business owner to have my own.

While that is a valid consideration, you have access to everything and anyone you would need.

We don't try to do it all, just know what you don't know and have competent people handle the rest, ie taxes etc.

The rest is: Make more than you spend.

As far as getting our own shipping contracts, well that is out of most of our leagues.

On the leased trailers... what is covered on break downs? Do they cover tires? Tarps?

If you get it from Eclipse then it's 10% of gross and they cover everything from tarp to tires. You have to pick it up in Nebraska though.

Through economy where I rent mine and bought my truck it's a flat 1k a month, but they pay nothing. However my trailer is a 2009 so I'll be ahead for quite a while. I figure I would have paid about $1600 by the 10% plan.

    Pawnd Thanks this.
