Sounds like you guys are running good and hard. Hopefully, the money is following the miles. Back and forth to NM is a nice run.

When is he going to get that tranny in that Pete?

As for the oil drain...I would go to a Speedco if you are that pressed on time. They are about the same as all the other shops (Petro, TA, Pilot, and some others), basically they hire glorified parts changers that only care about a paycheck. Best advise I can say is watch them like a hawk and don't leave the service bay while they are working. It would be better if you could do your own oil and grease service so that you can get a good look at the whole truck since these shops only drop the oil and grease. They don't shake the u-joints, look at the suspension, or even check out all the hoses are wiring. If ya want to go longer on a drain I would look into doing the oil service yourself for now on and going with a pure synthetic oil and a bypass oil filter system.

The belts can be hit and miss. You just got to be in the right place at the right time. If you don't have a spare set, throw the old ones in your side box when you swap them out...I have seen brand new belts break from manufacturing defects and this would be cheap insurance. I don't know what type of tensioner your ride has, but I just use my 1/2" breaker bar that is about 14" long. It works okay, but I would like it to be a little bit longer...isn't that what all of us guys always say?

Best of luck to ya both and be safe.
