    I can't see the picture.
So if the shipper loaded the truck with a forklift, how would it be your fault if the pallet is damaged?
    I don't understand.

    Terry270 Thanks this.

I don't see anything from the pictures that would show damage from transport.
The people at the corporate office just read damaged, and hold off on paying you till it's settled.
If you can't get them to see that it is not damaged from transport you might want to try civil court, but I'm guessing CHR would black list you from hauling anything else for them.

A few wood chips from the pallet to me not a big deal.. It's a flippen pallet, not a case of fine wine..

Looks pretty obvious to me that the box was damaged from a forklift.

This is what trucking is coming too. I will say this. Right after the flooding cleared up there was a lot of freight to be moved out. I picked up a sealed trailer of a full truck load of pallets each containing one cotton roll. Well at delivery there was a leak in the front of the trailer. 6 pallets were ruined. I was totally surprised they took the damaged ones to see if they would dry out. Seems the obvious doesn't happen anymore.

    That is ridiculous.

How is this a total loss?

I mean that plastic pellets are not always the cleanest nor are transported in sealed containers, so they are some times cleaned and then heated to remove moister.

I would fight it, it looks like the receiver is trying to cover their butts with some lost products in their manufacturing chain. I had this happen to me with rubber pellets about ten years ago, my lawyer went to the plant and when he asked for the product, they said they dumped it so he told them no proof, no money.
