Wow that's High...Must be a produce hauler huh?
I hear you reefer guys buy $50000 reefers,,pay high insurance and sit at grocery houses for hours and hours.
Then again, You guys are makin' 300k per truck per year right? -
If you located east of Mississippi you will be rated higher than identical setup would be in the plains. Liability for accident increases that way.

Yep my authority is less than a year old. I'm 23 years old and I've gotten a couple driving awards from the state patrol men.cnsper Thanks this.
-
What are you haulin that you need 2M in cargo liability?ramblingman Thanks this.
-
My authority is only 10 months old, for the renewal the same company offered 11k, but I haven't not shopped around yet
-
Nope, just dry van. Michigan has one of the highest insurance costs in States and for the first timers you are limited to Berkshire or Progressive here.

When talking only about cargo and liability for 2 trucks, I would say you will get a range from 750/truck/month to 1000/truck/month, 1000 being on the high end. I pay 760 / month per truck.Depending on what your aspirations are, you have 2 options. If you know you want to grow, 5-10+ trucks you would go with a company like CLINEWOOD, that is who I am with and they are great. If you want to stay with 2 trucks, maybe 3-4, call OOIDA, they will have the lowest price out there but they dont want fleets. Also they do not work with some brokers like landstar and jb hunt. If you want a contact at CLINEWOOD or have any more questions, send me a private message and we will talk more.

I got quoted $13.400.00 a year with authority, not worth it to me.
