896/month 2 trucks at 38500 2 trailers at 42k 1 mill liability 100k cargo 30k non owned trailer 100 mile radius clean record on one driver spotty on the other and I still think I pay way to effing much for insurance. That's the nature of the beast though I guess.

It all depends on age experience, where you run and where you're based out of. Welcome to purchasing insurance where you can be legally extorted due to things that are out of your control. and yes I do consider insurance extortion.

Insurance is the biggest joke there is. I pay 950 a month with 1mil general liability and auto liability with 25k cargo. Im 23 with a record. We are forced to pay outrageous rates for coverage that frankly, and thankfully, most of us never have to use. Insurance is the biggest scam in this country.

Like I said legal extortion. You did this that and the other now pay up. I told progressive to shove their insurance up their ### when I left them the last time. took them 48 hours to get me a ####ing cert and it was costing me about $1200 a day at that point not running. I told them I have the cert in 20 minutes or you lose a months worth of insurance money they told me they'd just cancel my policy...sure as #### they did. And I #### sure didn't pay them the $1259 I owed them that month either.

Same way with verizon I haven't paid my bill yet for last month I don't plan on it either until they explain to me why I'm paying 188/month for dropped calls when I have a business call dropped it can cost me 4 times as much as the bill is over a missed load, so why would I pay their bill...currently waiting on a call back that I'll probably never get and probably won't have a phone by next month either oh well don't bother me none.

Your not going to pay your cell phone bill because you dropped a call? Who exactly do you plan to sign up with that is going to stop dropped calls forever.

I agree, its a shame we have to pay for all of these things they more often than not don't help us. America, the land of the free and the home of the slaves!

I'm located in Michigan and just finishing my first year too, @DUNE-T . When you are ready to renew or jump ship, look into Auto-Owners Insurance for a quote. They are a pretty big company based in Lansing. You don't go through them directly, you can find a local insurance broker/agent on their website.

My truck is 25K, trailer 20K van, 1 Mil/100K and I also have an extra 1 Mil general business umbrella policy all for 7,000 per year. Now, I opted for a 300 mile radius because that's my business model but unlimited would've been something like 9K, if I remember correctly. I'm 42 with an 18 year CDL company driver history with no accidents or tickets. That could've also helped with my first year rate too. It's worth a shot though for you to look into them. I liked their rates so much, I switched 4 cars, an rv, and a house over to them as well.
