You don't need to ask all you need to do is raise premiums based on demographics. Like what just happened.
-
As far as prices, call those two insurance outfits, or better yet, find an insurance broker that can weed through this insurance mess and find you a better rate. And if you are already established as a trucking company running your own authority starting up an LLC should not change anything. You are already established and will simply change your status with the state when you renew your plates. You are leaving a lot on the table by staying as a sole prop and then there are the tax consequences.
-
Oh, I see what you're saying. Rates are always higher in the cities. More people, more accidents, more claims. Frankly, 12k sounds about right to me.fordconvert, BobNWe and Justrucking2 Thank this.

The llc scorp sole pro is a entirely different thread. Thanks for the resources. It is appreciated.
-
Depends on how you look at it. As a sole prop he's exempt from many state's taxes where he's created nexus.
-
You really need to fix that if you are running under your social security number.
As far as insurance brokers, I found this....
Atlanta's Top 10 Property and Casualty Insurance Brokers and Agents
https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta.../property-and-casualty-insurance-brokers.html
I would start at the top and make some calls. -
It don't explain my insurance tripling after 2mil accident free miles. Don't say I'm unsafe just cause im from Atlanta. Don't say Fidel is unsafer in Miami cause he Cuban an definitely don't increase Pedro's just bc he in San Antonio. But it's what's happening.
A guy told me some federal national outfit set that trend. Then ga, fl, an Texas followed suit. National indemnity? -
Not familiar with GA tax laws, so I could be wrong. To many benefits here in MI to not run under an LLC. But, I have always been an LLC... I was an LLC at birth.
-
Oh man no i can't go out like that. I mean if i was leased on i could get away temporarily like this.
I have several eins in case another company need 1. Well i think i have 4.Justrucking2 Thanks this.
