    $12 a week for family.

They are allowing an opt out option if you can prove coverage from a spouses job though if you have worked there 5+ years. They will pay you $57..70 per check.. Going to have to crunch some numbers

That's in line with the rate that I pay at my carrier, although we have a third option - employee and spouse (no dependents) which falls between those two numbers.

This is BCBS not Obamacare.. Any other companies pay you if you opt out? Never seen that before?

I've seen it before. My current carrier does not. My carrier added a clause this year that they will NOT allow spouse coverage if their employer offers insurance coverage. So if my wife could get insurance through her employer, my company would not allow me to add her to my coverage.

I've got no choice in opting out, but I'm not sure I would. I haven't shopped, but I imagine it would be hard to find a comparable policy for $4290/yr.

I'm not particularly crazy about the increase, but I talked to a guy at another tanker company yesterday who said he pays almost $300/week. So it could be worse.

Does this coverage they offer include their dental plan, or is that seperate coverage?

I guess that was the qualcomm message i didnt read earlier lol. I'm single, no dependents, and (probably) no medical conditions. I just wish they offered vision coverage. Schneider had vision, health, dental, and critical illness for $31 a week.

Wow! I work for the DoD and if you have low/no deductibles, that's better than what I get! I have 0 deductible, but $25-50 per visit, depending on the doctor.
