    Hello everyone,

On my insurance contract it’s written in the rated commodities section: farming /agricultural
And in the sub business type it’s written « agricultural hauling »
Can I haul other product such as refrigerated goods (seafood, ice cream for example) or dry van goods ?

Well, Ive hauled Barrels on pallets. Big 55 gallon drum across many states to a little Iowa Coop. I think around 40 barrels in a reefer with a unit off. No temp service needed. (If you can convince customer to accept 60 degree service and bill him or her that, you will be ahead. They don't know any better... what they don't know wont hurt them)

Those barrels were agricultural substances worth 500,000 dollars in retail value A group of farmers bought it, each one will get a box truck of a few barrels And all got a better price on the bulk buying. I was told I was the first of 4 trucks coming in with that stuff. So it's a two million dollar move for the county.

    On that’s good !
    I have another question
The broker can see the produce you haul on the certificate of insurance ?
Is it written agricultural, refrigerated or building material on the certificate of insurance that you give to the broker for the set up ?

Sir, before you get in too deep, the only three certs Ive ever touched as a Company Driver (Just a Drivah mind you...) was either Alcohol revelant to the state it's delivering to, US Customs import or export and certain others that has to be with the load related to the food that is in it but that's really rare.

Customs and Military most certainly knew all about that load, I know and see nothing. (Schultz, Sgt German Army, aka Banner, Actor Hogans Heroes)

Not to be funny but you might want to think about changing insurance agents if you don't trust what he tells you...

I would listen to my insurance agent before I would listen to people on an online forum.
