Progressive has a radius limit. Great West does not.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
unfortunately it looks like great west does not offer insurance in my state (Massachusetts) I quoted progressive online and it was 27k and that was just auto, not lability or cargo. Maybe it’s different if I call and talk to an actual agent
-
I was quoted last year from an independent broker back in June 2019. and being based close to Chicago it was roughly going to be $17,500/year. Clean record, new authority, 10 years + experience but just re-obtained my CDL after 12 years not having it. (just a car/motorcycle license cuz I was not in the industry)
Have the rates really increased that much in such a short time? -
I’m with progressive and unlimited miles.jamespmack Thanks this.

Same here, I have no radius limitations with Progressive.062 Thanks this.

Not all Progressive policy's have a mileage limitation.
They (at least used to) offer a 500 mile limitation with a reduced rate. -
When I dumped them in 2017 the did. Guess its has been awhile062 Thanks this. -
Ooida does not write MA, great west told me I needed atleast a year for them, I sucked it up and it’s just a hair over $20,000 with progressive for $1mil liability, comp, collision, ($1000 deductible) and $150k cargo ($2500 deductible) also make sure it is unlimited policy and a FULL year not 6 months, liability is the most expensive part, the actual truck and cargo was only a couple grand together
I’m out of Chicopee MA -
Part of the way they write those policies is the length of time you have had your CDL.
If your CDL was only recently obtained, they consider you to be with no experience.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
