Sorry if an Insurance company dictated to me what assets have to be insured by them in order for them to cover another, I would never ever consider them as a viable vendor for any of my business.

Playing the paper chase game is time consuming and time is money, these vendors know this and act as if they are saving you a few thousand on insurance or what ever, they can ignore what you need to do to meet their demands.

Did you have to TItle the truck in your friends name? If so wouldn't that cause you to pay taxes on the truck again? Then transfer it back to yourself when you need to insure it would cause tax again?

No my insurance agent told me how I can do it. To add it on as an owner operator truck. But either way it will cost me. I knew people at the DMV when I use to change it over so it would cost me $56. The least we could sell it between us was a $100. As I said it will cost me either way. Their always wanting more money from the little man until their is no more little man

I only have two trucks because one is an old one I sold some years back and I've since bought it back. It hasn't been touched since I sold it and I want to pick up where I left off with it. My newer truck is a great truck too that I have right where I want it so I was just going over ways in my mind to justify keeping both. Why not right, if you can? However, it seems as if insurance will put the damper on that. If I'm going to have two though they both have to work. I don't want the old truck back just to stare at it, I want to be doing something with it.
