WiseOne's Comments, looks like there ARE more on the way as well from what I hear from the experts. This is only the 10th failure this year...wonder HOW many will in all? I sure hope the FDIC has a WHOOOOOLE lot of $$$! Kind of ironic the name of this one though.... Integrity Bank.

there's something you should worry about as a depositor. so the FDIC will insure your account up to 100k (everyone knows this i think). now most people don't have 100k in the bank but in the rare event that you do for a 401k or IRA, you're left hanging. I read about a month ago that one of the problems with banks that are going under is that when they get bailout money from the government, they first pay back their own losses - large depositors come last.
moral of the story is to diversify your funds - different accounts, different banks. Hopefully any customer of a small bank would've realized this after Indie-mac failed in CA earlier this summer...
