    Wanting to know what the rates are looking like on the intermodal side in Kansas City and what the potential daily revenue could be with a day cab. I know there's going to be a surge of OTR loads moving to intermodal so, expecting the rates to increase somewhat.

    Well, I did intermodal in the 90s out of Chicago, and it paid about the same as an OTR gig, minus the OTR part. I think intermodal is the next big thing as OTR drivers are hard to come by today. I'd strongly recommend a sleeper, some better paying loads were an overnight, or waiting on a derailed train,,,nice to stretch out. Good luck, equipment was always a big issue, but I think that's changed considerable. Most chassis have tubeless tires now, a huge plus. If I was to stay with it, I would have gotten my own chassis, an aluminum spread axle, and just do live lifts. Good luck.
