How about making the truck stop directory location aware? That would make things a little easier when you are rolling.

We're working on it. It's all in the plans for V 2.0 We've taken all the input that everyone has suggested and sent it to the developer for the final updates, this was already on it. Sent all the final updates for V2.0 to them last week. All the suggestions so far that everyone has written here is all in there, and A LOT more. I think you'll really enjoy the ease of the app much more.

Have you guys seen the free app that 1st Guard has called TRUCKER1? It's free and does some cool stuff. Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm not a trucker but use the family location and facebook posting stuff a lot.
They also have a free app that tells you what's ahead in a straight line -- like what is two hours ahead. -

when you get your imac running where you can continue to program the app you have in the works. I would include a gps if you don't already have one, recap for HOS, $per mile for company and O/O that would help most of us out

I was thinking of a mileage tracking program that ran automatically that tracked distances between each stop. What it considered a stop would have to be modifiable. It would track via the gps unit in the phone exactly how far you went, log it, and reset itself to zero after a set amount of time. That so it wouldn't reset at a stop light or in a traffic jam. Come in handy for tow trucks especially. I would always forget to reset the odometer.
Whatever you come up with, port it over to droid. -
this has nothing to do with apps. or iphones, but i know some wanted one for this site. i use a web browser on my phone called "opera mini" you can download for almost any phone that has web available and its great, you can view full web pages sized for your phone. its how i go on here (like now) and lots of sites.

It would probably track through the gps device on the phone. The gps on the phone is not accurate enough for it to work all the time, though. And you need it to work flawlessly all the time for something like that.
