I have red gauge and interior lights in the end dump I drive and my lowboy truck strictly for the cool factor and so I can feel like a U Boat Capitan and super trucker status.

Don't have any sleeper trucks but if I did it might add to the red light district feel when one's parked back on party row?

Any actual benefits of red lights I honestly couldn't tell you.

I run the old school purple lights up in the corners of the windshield.
Really works wonders for the night time glare.

    Just an addition of thought.
Newer trucks and cars both have brighter lights. They cause your eyes to close more so than in the old days.
Also the newer headlights are “whiter”. They technically are into the blue spectrum of light. That causes you to not want to sleep.
    Just something to think about.

I seriously noticed this driving an old 20 year old truck. Oncoming headlights would even light up the road in front of me better than my own. There was no problem out in the country. Also as long as other vehicle had the dimmer lights.

I have been using glasses for night driving for several months. Many say that they help the eyes not to get tired quickly, but there is also a risk of not noticing any light. Yellow lenses reduce the overall visible light by blocking some of the rays of high-energy visible blue light.

Yellow lenses reduce the overall visible light by blocking some of the rays of high-energy visible blue light. This may be useful for visibility in daylight, but not at night. So I gave up night-vision goggles and installed LED strips from Vont Smart Light Strip / in the salon so that the eyes do not get tired. What do you think about this way of dealing with night lights?
