On Peterbilt 379 models, 1996 to 2006, this much I know. Inside left frame rail beside left steer tire, a 140 amp fusible link. Power to here stems from ( direct connection) the batteries. Power leaves here, feeds your ECM.
Oxydization and corrosion often cause power disconnects to the ECM from this link.
Ita a prime source of power for the ECM.

I owner 2006 Pete 387 C15 Acert MXS .... Last Sunday I drove the truck in city to drop at load the street had bad rough surface the truck shutdown when I did stop and make turn left, truck was crank but no starting. With cranking I park the truck in safe place (I was bobtail ) later trying to startthe truck that fired up but can't rev over 1000rpm because engine turn off, when I drove over potholes turn off too ... When I get to my parking lot I start on engine and check battery cables look fine I clean 2 week ago, I check ecm harness, when I shake a little bit the harness the engine turn off.I removed the P1 connection and check I test power supply pins, 70pin have power with ignition switch on, 52pin,53pin and 48pin have power but when I move the harness power goes out .... I see this harness come from fuse box of pass side engine compartment. Can I run 12v power wire with fuse from battery, cut wire after split that powered pin 53,52 and 48 ?If I do that will risk of short from wire that I want cut and leave on the whole harness?
