the 9,000 series cabs were the same. As long as you stay in the same year range. For a ‘96 you’ll have to use a 9370 hood. A 9900 will not work(cab design change). It will also be expensive as the front springs and steering components will have to be changed to move to a set forward axle. Also you may or may not have to move the cab back to accommodate the difference in hood length. So in the end, is it worth it?

They must be pretty rare because I look at them going down the road all the time and don’t see them

Saw this one in Indiana last fall.

    Quinkadink.
What’s with the new model pro star fairing on it ?

The interior is intact and whole it’s just dated and that stupid shelf in it was made for a airport shuttle bus.

Going to gut it in the spring. Pull the walls down and add some sound deadening insulation and wire it for 120 volt and add outlets.

Rehang walls as they are like new , than pull up the floor and add Dynamat and put down a wood floor , leaning towards the fake wood for durability

Gutting bunk out and raising it for more storage underneath and have it fold up so I have a dinette like a Volvo.

Adding a large frig and freezer and building a cabinette to house my ice maker and coffe machine and convection oven.

I live in a company Western Star 3900 Sb right now. It’s pretty livable the way I have modified it but there is only so much I can do being it’s a company truck.

Our company is selling off our 4 year old 3900sb Western Star gliders for a really good price and I have been on the fence buying one.

Problem is I drive one and it rides like Krap.

I want a extended hood for the ride.

My thought was buy one and suffer with it for a year. Than move the cab back and put a extended hood and air ride axle on it.

I agree ditch the shelf. Otherwise plenty of potential there. Thanks for sharing.

I had a HD 1990 Eagle that had that exact same hood. (I wish I never sold it!)
