I just started with a company that runs mostly LT Internationals, and I have a question about the engine brake. Every truck I've ever driven, when you have the engine brakes turned on, will engage the engine brake when you lift your foot off the accelerator. The LT I'm driving now will coast without the engine brake when you lift your foot until you apply the foot brake, then it will engage. Is there any way to change this parameter or is it just something I will have to learn to live with?

I had the same problem. It was an AMT and the company had me locked out of manual gear selection. The solution was to whine a lot until they let me select gears. I may have mentioned 'safety' a few times.

My LT is a 10 speed manual, engine brake works normally.

International has an optional parameter where the jake is latched to the brake pedal. You could ask your company if they would be willing to change it. other than that there is no work around.
