I’d like to suggest that split-loom cable covers would be an improvement and provide some protection & shielding.
I’ve bought extra cheap from Amazon, but flame & UV resistant ANCOR-brand is the best I’ve come across. After each type done, then in extra-large to cover others as bundle and run to drivers A-pillar and down.
It’s legitimate to be concerned about DOT, Scale House, Company frowns. It’s some juicy juice in those power leads.
Didn’t know that roof was steel. Great!!

how far up does this antenna stick up?
-
The tip sits about equal with the roof of the trailer...it is a Wilson 2000 with 10 inch shaft...the whip is trimmed to vswr...the mag mount is a sirio pl-145 with 3/8-24 threaded hole.
Works extremely well...hope this helps -

Its the EXACT combo that works....Sirio 145 mag mount and wilson 2000 with 10 inch shaft... This antenna will also work with the cheap truck stop mag but only with the 3 inch shaft (I tried it for w weeks waiting for my sirio mag)
Thicker wont work for example the thick k40 4ft fiberglass caught too much air
Re read the earlker post and see the pics...this is the sweet spot...also there is minor prep work for the sirio mag per the included instructions...u will need an exacto knife...make sure the cab roof is clean....good luck! -

That is awesome. Just the solution I’m looking for. Out of curiosity, do you just run the coax around the door frame? (I drive a company truck and can’t make any mods, holes, etc.)
Thanks
