Thanks Big Hoss. I'll grab some 4ft firesticks and see how they perform. How did you tune your duals? Install both then adjust each equally then check swr?

Thanks Big Hoss, I'll grab some 4ft firesticks. Did you tune both at the same time?

Yea, I tried them, turned them down 1/8th of a turn, then re-installed and its been 1.0 SWR all channels ever since.

Grabbed the firestiks today. Once I'm free of my trailer and in an empty area, I'll install and tune.

Changing the subject a bit... a TON of these trucks are for sale used. No idea why. 2018s 100k or so. More than any other brand. Personally after the maxxforce I am surprised international is still around.

I recently had to quit a company with 3 2018's LT's, Cummins/13 speed ultra shifts. Those 3 trucks bankrupt the operation, their now up for sale CHEAP. Company I'm at are leasing 2019 LT's with A26 motor, junk, but not as bad. I'm going O/O with a new Volvo, cause I can't stand these fleet spec internationals and Cascadia's anymore.

I'm running in a 2017 international, would you guys be able to tell me the kinda power running to the CB? Any time I try to plug mine in it instantly blows the inline hot wire fuse.
    Any ideas?

First thought is that pos & neg are reversed.

Reversed wires would be my first thought. I'm in a new 2019 Freightliner now. Fuse panel is on top right of dash. If you need to, grab power and ground from there instead.

Sounds like you have ruined the protection diode inside your cb radio, by hooking the power wires up backwards, as others have mentioned.
