The place I work for has a bunch of these Maxxforce Prostars with auto 10 speeds. I don't know what rearend they have but they turn like 1425 @ 75mph. Wont pull a hill for **** but they are pretty awesome running on flat ground. I've set the cruise at 80 and nearly fell asleep becauses they ride so smooth and are so quiet. We really don't have that many problems with the motors (they're 2015s that take DEF).
With that said, they all use oil and pretty much have since new. The jakes are practically useless. Not quite MBE4000 useless but pretty close. The Eaton autos suck but it's more like they made no effort to program the motor and trans to work with each other. Biggest issue is petty electrical gremlins that seem to have them in and out of the shop. Ours are also 6x2 for the most part and it's miserable.
Most of these trucks only have 150-200k on them also. So only time will tell if they actually stay together...

I drove a maxxforce that ran me out of business. first the turbo oil leak $2000 week and half to get done at dealer. fuel pump went out $3200 one week down. egr cooler and valve, for some reason they like to die together every 100k miles... 3500 two weeks down.. fuel line a few times 800+ each time... fuel line rail 2100 to repalce. now egr cooler and valve again together with dpf replacement.. for sure over 10k.. I have turned the truck to the financing company, i will not deal with that truck no more..
If you buy an international get it with a cummuns.
maxxforce 13 is pile of #### that ran me out of my business..
now i am working for a small local company and will save to buy a century or columbia.. with a series 60.. they are cheap to fix,, pull slow but will get me there and back without so many break downs. there is a lot more to the story.. i had a breakdown 1 out of 2 short trips of 2k round trip miles.. just not a good engine.. -
I have a 2011 prostar so far in 3 yrs of having it no big problems and it's has a maxforce in it had another prostar with a Cummings stayed in the shop .
