Don’t waste your time or money. Clearly the truck has done its job.

    Get a Cummins

there's a good reason that prostars have a very poor resale value ........ but I have been thinking about them too if you get lucky enough to find a good one fine and that price is close to junkyard price so your not risking a whole lot. .... it's the in between that scares me you know the nickel and dime stuff that never seems to stop until you get a big one .... however if you can get 2 months of good running out of it you would have it paid for ....... and there are a few guys that are more than happy with them .. and a lot more that are not. ..... it has become a lot more challenging to buy a truck now than it used to be. and it seems to boil down to just plain luck no matter what you get

International prostar, the truck is a great truck. It’s the Max Force engine is the issue.

I know but if you think about it say the engine crap out on you you can get a rebuilt for 20000 and you would have 35k in a good truck with a fresh rebuilt motor. .... the answer is wether you can survive financially for awhile if needed

I bought my maxxforce in 2017 with 350k
Now it has 1.4 million miles. I did get rid of the dpf and I also didn't have def. Its still going strong. Im actually starting my local job this Monday
My maxxforce 13 was good to me, but I also maintained it myself
