I use WiFi exlusively on the road now. I had the Sprint phone modem set-up a couple years ago but at the time it was realy pricey. I have no choice at home, the building is 80 years old and I am only aloud to have cable.:smt044

None of the above. Satellite internet through HughesNet. I hope they get the issues with the intereference in BPL fixed. That would solve the problem for us rural folk!

Coming from the Land Of 10,000 Lakes I've also tried satelite, while out in the middle of a lake. Not to bad, but just like satelite tv, does loose reception.
    I personaly run DSL

Anyone use Verizon for wireless broadband service? How is the coverage? I was about to get it when I looked at their coverage map. It is very confusing because they have so many different services and each service has a different coverage map. It looks like the wireless broadband coverage is only in the twenty largest cities, otherwise your screwed. Five miles out side Oklahoma City... nothin. Lafayette , La... jack.

I used Verison internet using my phone as a modem and I got brodband speeds in and around the major cities except for Oklahoma City. Everywhere else I got dial up speeds. I don't recomend Verison if you want to use it outside of the citys.

I use DSL at home but I miss my cable. DSL is cheaper, but I have problems connecting to game servers and get kicked out a lot. I never had problems with my cable except for the price. For Internet surfing, I have no problem with DSL. I just don't play games that much anymore.

I have to agree. Cable is a better alternative. Usually faster download speeds (depends on the cable company)... Though I don't really have trouble connecting to any game server using DSL.
