To the OP. You’re with Verizon now. Just go ahead and do a separate MiFi account. It’s data only, so you won’t be sharing it with your phone.
Cost is nominal. But you’ll need a JetpackDieselboss Thanks this. -
I have had verizon unlimited for 4 months now and it has neve slowed down. I hotspot my iPad off my iPhone while my phone is jacked to the television playing HuLu
Dieselboss Thanks this. -
Get a tablet with cellular data.
My iPad has its own data (Verizon).

At the cost of $1,680.
Heck. Seems like a bargain to me.
And probably another $50 at least for the internet. With a cap.
YEAH BUD DEEEEEE
I paid $220 for my att samsung tablet. Internet is $20 unlimited.
I paid $100 for hotspot device. Again, $20 and 1tb internet.
Next year 5G devices are going to start rolling out. -
Cricket's unlimited plan. I hit 255GB last month with no throttling. If you bring an unlocked phone it might work with hotspot without you having to pay for it. My LG V30 is unlocked and I have hotspot for free.
I had a Phab2Pro that worked with free hotspot.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

I have a tablet (Samsung Tab A) via Verizon that I bought outright for about $200 (I hate contracts), I set that to hotspot and it works pretty good. I haven't had a slowdown yet.
