    Metro PCS sucks for OTR. Constant dropped signal and LTE only works in major city centers across the country. I used it for the better part of 2 years and finally gave up.

    Now I'm using T-Mobile, which uses the same towers as Metro PCS, however the signal quality and stability has been much better, though still really bad west of the Missouri river.

    I'll probably try Verizon now that they've stopped charging overages...

    Boost mobile unlimited for $60 is what I use, if you get auto draft they charge $55. We have the family plan, 5 phones for $125 a month from Metro PCS. You only get 5gb @4g then it's 2g. That price includes all taxes. Cheapest that I can find. You can get a new phone every 3 months. It's prepaid so no extending a contract for another year. The phone cost $19 to $99, the higher price phones they auto draft from a checking account.
