Fortunately for myself, I was grandfathered in to verizon's old plan and have unlimited data. If you sign up now you are limited to 2 gb

I have used a Sprint air card for years. It costs $60/month plus tax. I usually spend about $65/month with all the taxes. I usually don't have a problem anywhere I go. I have been having some issues the last three weeks, but they can't seem to find out what is going on.

I used to use Sprint with a card, I now use Verizon with my Android phone. Works great and much faster that the Sprint card.

I use a Verizon Mifi device, and it has worked great for me. I get 3gb of data for $35 per month. I mainly use it for mapping and routing, and have never used more than 1gb of data so far.

Free WiFi... you get what you pay for. Bad or no connections, slow data rates - and its open season on folks without security in those places. Also a way to pick up viruses and malware.

You're much better off paying for your service with an aircard or using a smart phone. However... be very interested in the coverage area of your plan. OTR trucking takes you into the boonies - a lot.

Verizon 4g air card. $50 a month plus $10 per gig over that. Can buy time at the trk stops for cheaper, but like was said earlier.... gotta be close and some are better than others. Flying j and the peelot have finally combined their services. Think a $150 will cover a year.

Sprint / Evo hot spot. Nothing like checking the road conditions in the middle of winter in the middle of Wyoming.
