So, what do you use on the road? Do you have an unlimited mobile data plan?

When i was on the road. I had verizon with 32 gigs. Started using netflix the last 6 months out on the road.

I"m home now. i have sprint and att which is no longer available for purchase. Haven't watched netflix for the last 2 months. I have the amazon prime but i've never used it and this is my second billing. I started with directv but now i have the directvnow app to watch it on the internet. I"m no longer using any of the local cable or dish companies. For tv or internet. My internet is through my sprint phone and my att hotspot. The directvnow app is through my roku tv ( not stick ) and amazon stick. But it CAN be watched on laptop or whatever. WITH THE CHROME BROWSER ONLY.

I started this thread cuz i want to know. As I'm sure others do too. How well the other services work and methods are working. I just got signed up with the directvnow app. So i'm just learning this whole internet tv thing. I can see a lot of ways that this is a great thing. And i know there's lots of truckers looking for or wanting other options.

Here in the Tampa, Fl. area we have access to books online thru the library with an app called Overdrive. As long as your library card is current you can check out books just like going to the library in person.

I cut the cord for cable TV at home about 2 yrs ago. I still had Satellite TV for the truck up until last Feb.

Now everything,.. on the road and at home is watched via the internet. Its less money, no commercials, and I can pause or finish watching later. Its like having a DVD of anything I want to watch. No paying extra for DVR service, No paying extra for HD channels, no paying extra for an extra cable box in another room, no paying extra for extra channels,.. I have them all now at the click of a mouse.

Internet streaming is the future of TV.

I have had directv now since day one. I also have Netflix.

Directv now works great. If you have att phone service you get $25 month off every month for directv now. I got the biggest package and it’s $45 a month. I use Apple TV at home to use it and you can’t tell that it’s not satellite and a box. Out in truck I watch tv waiting for my pups and it works flawless. Of course #### signal it will buffer

Both at home & on the road I use a Fire Stick from Amazon and load Kodi on it. I have unlimited Verizon wireless, but seldom use even 300 Gig/mo. With my Amazon Prime membership and the Kodi add-ons that can be found, I can watch just about anything available.
