890 miles for $1400? That's $1.57/mile. I'd drool for that load. What am I missing?

It doesent have the price listed. U have to call on most of them.2564 is what its showing on the miles. Internet truck stop has as funny way of figuring miles.

Figures. They probably want to pay $2000 to have it moved.

I would guess with that many miles it would be in the 3000-3500 range but it would be hell coming out.

I used internet truck stop and ITS doesn't do the mileage. It's done by whoever posted the load. That's the miles they are paying. Could be PC miler,Practical truck miles, etc. You will rarely get the miles paid to agree with what you figure. Used RandMcnally and other map sites and have had as many as 5 different mileage from point A to point B. Trick is to get as close to paid miles as you can.

IT uses truckmiles and it also gives them the option to enter their own miles but it will be in quotation marks if they enter their own, Truckmiles is short as hell I like mapquest the best I find truckmiles are usually off atleast 20 miles. Most all brokers try to short u on the miles.

I actually have found Internet Truckstop to have fairly accurate mileage indicators.:yes2557:

I am thinking about using D&S Factors. Does anyone have experience with them? Sometimes loads say they are factorable by them and sometimes they do not. I think they should factor any A credit rating though, right?

There's very little if any decent paying freight out of the east coast. You need a money load going in, and $1.57 going in is not money. IMO

Brokers drool over guys who'll haul for that crappy rate.

Not to mention all the tolls.

From inside a medium company I can tell CH robbin us, undercut us on some cheap freight we had and they took it for .54 per mile off the east coast and they are moving it.
