I have Verizon unlimited and have no problems watching pornhub all day while driving.

I hope you are just being silly...
Streaming an average video is easy. It's made up of millions of packets that are based on a protocol that simply ignores a few dropped packets. (UDP)

A connection that actually requires a TCP connection that has strict requirements for packets being in the correct order and all there like voice and VPNs tend not to fare so well during a cell tower change.

I thought there were data limitations on hotspots? As in, you cant just stream Netflix everyday of the month from a hotspot?

    You can with T-Mobile.

I use a hot spot device for my laptop.
I have 5 GB on each line, but with BingeOn I can stream Netflix, Hulu and many others without a hit on the data used. And it doesn't even cost extra.

    Meet me in Nevada lol

Call me when you’re on 95 south of 6. I’ll bring you $100 bill.

AT&T blows. I hit so many dead zones, it’s unbelievable.

In all honesty. The OP probably won’t get 100% coverage regardless of the carrier. I use ATT and Verizon. That’s the only way I can insure I have a signal. Even with those 2, I’ve been in dead zones.

    Depends on the hotspot.

ATT used to offer car devices with unlimited for $20. They plugged in to the obd2 port for power. My device stopped recognizing the sim so I had to get a new device. Still have the plan. But ATT really wants to switch it to a more expensive plan with whatever is being offered these days.
My chevrolet also has built in wifi with unlimited for $20. But that goes through onstar. And on my ATT billing. It comes up as 970 gigs.

I can stream directvnow without using my allotment. When I had sprint. I could stream hulu.

This is true man! I had to switch from Verizon after 15+ years. I moved next to Lake Erie and had zero signal on Verizon. ATT comes in super clear here.

Even using both I can imagine some dead zones for sure..

I had ATT left over from being in Florida where it worked fine

    Sucks everywhere else though

I got Verizon unlimited for $85 and it is night and day.

I tether and surf the internet while streaming Hulu is Netflix all the time.

Any other carrier is a waste of money
