Over a dozen years ago i was parked on an I-40 entrance ramp. I was running up against my hrs. So exhausted i didnt even roll my window up or shut motor off. Passed out as soon as i hit the mattress.
3 hrs later .... Bang Bang ... it was a Tennessee Trooper. Bring your license up to my car.
Best Trooper ever!
You’re not suppose to park on the ramp. He then apologized for waking me. He sad he didnt agree with the law that prohibits parking on the on ramps, i’d rather have you park on a ramp than see you driving tired.
“ I wouldnt have awoken you, but i saw you and went and checked the truck stop at the next exit, they have 12 spots open, if they didnt have any empty spaces I would have left you alone”
He said since he thought the law prohibiting parking on on-ramps was dangerous, he just gave me a $10 seat belt ticket instead of the $100 ramp ticket.
