Ah yes. But still, a lot of coaches has CAT C10 or Cummins M11.

Both electronic engines, so should have cruise control.

They probably do, though I've never driven one with either so not sure.

I had a M11 hauling steel and I found it to be a very good engine for what it was. Keep in mind to have monster coils on a covered wagon makes for a tippy load. So Mr Tippy requires a sort of a agile mountain goat and that was what my tractor was with that engine and the Rockwell 9 short manual. Not too terribly fast, she'll lope along at 75 easily. But not a speed queen. Good footing and a sort of a huge bottom end of RPM to work with that is stable without that classic Jerking back and forth some drivers get when they try to move out on too little fuel.

M11 was very unpopular in the bus industry. Apparently it got poor MPG in highway bus applications. I've only seen a few M11-powered buses for sale. Many more CATs or Detroits. Now the Cummins ISX is popular, but every I know still orders DD13 or Volvo D13.

Just read this from the OP-1(P) form: https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/sites/fmc...egistration/2211/op-1p-form-7-26-2018-508.pdf

"NOTE: The FMCSA has no jurisdiction to grant intrastate authority independently of interstate authority on the same routes. Also, no carrier may conduct operations under a certificate authorizing intrastate regular route service unless it actually is conducting substantial operations in interstate commerce over the same route."

How do y'all interpret this? It's nearly impossible for a new entrant to get intrastate passenger authority in Nevada, so if I need it I'll have to find another route. I can only get USDOT FMCSA authority.

Again, the route is Reno - Phoenix with stop in Las Vegas, but always continuing to/from Phoenix. FMCSA didn't respond to my question.
