interview with buffalo biodiesel tomorrow

no, they had a case of the things. the interviewer was arguing with the candidate before me something about lying i dont know. during an interview, i am being interview, but i also am interviewing them. i was not really too impressed by what i saw.

i think the aptitude test is put there just to insult the drivers intelligence. i have NEVER had to submit to such a ridiculous test at any other company that hires CDL holders. it was not like they were questions regarding pre-trip, air brakes, ect. perhaps it's purpose is to see if it will get a reaction from the test taker. in fact i bombed the test with a 40% and they said, the test has nothing to do with your ability to drive a truck so the results dont matter. WHY have it? illogical. i really was insulted and did not care about the outcome. the questions were something like a series of boxes with dots and markings, which was is next the sequence..... WHY.

as far as the drug test, i know drug test are a required part of this job field, but isnt this supposed to be sent to a lab and regulated somehow?

 

no i didnt burn the bridge, i told him that i have to think about. he said to call him if i really wanted the job. its 14 hour shifts and its an hour drive each way too and from work. im going to explore other options for a few days next week, if i come up dry i will call them.

i bit my tongue as stupid as the whole process was. im not looking for a job im going to want to quit as soon as i start.

i have some hands on ability but not book smart, why do you think i got into truck driving lol. they even said the results were irrelevant. why waste the time?

 

well the other guy that was being interviewed was kicked out of the interview and told to leave....... very strange indeed. i think whatever bridge they had with him got burned in a hurry
