You'll spend a lot of time driving the two wheeler, I swear I spend more time driving the two wheeler then the truck. Also driving the two wheeler can be difficult as well and driving the pallet jack, oh sometimes I've had just as hard of a time driving the pallet jack as I have the actual truck ha-ha!

My last driving job was with a facility supply company doing local delivery. Anywhere from 10-35 stops a day depending on what the sales reps would turn in. It was anything and everything from Bic pens to 55 gallon drums of muriatic acid. We drove straight trucks, I believe the box is 24 or 27 ft long. I can't remember. Anyway, I imagine it is a lot the same. Lots of heavy cases, like copy paper, and it was all taken in on the dolly. The truck could be loaded with 5,000 lbs of product (as an example) but by the time you move it to the back of the truck, put it down on the dolly and then take it and unload it, you have touched everything at least three times. That means you are moving 15,000 lbs plus a day, by hand. It will DEFINITELY either GET you in shape or KEEP you in shape! I really enjoyed it and I liked getting to know my customers. That is one of the nice things about local delivery. You get to know your people. Good luck!

I turned them down because my current job delivering sign materials told me they would match the $17 Coca-Cola would give me starting..it's way less work and I don't have to worry about my back lol...I don't know if I made a wrong move, but my current job is 7am-5pm Monday through Fridaywith weekends off

Sounds like a good decision. What were they paying before the $17? Package beverage is a lot of work so I think you pretty much haggled your way to a raise. Should have told them coke is paying $20.. :D

they were paying me $12/hr...they gave me the offer to 17 in writing and everything. ..I was going to tell them a high number but I figured they would be like..."thank you but know thank you" lol
