Well she said it was showing as a conviction. So I don't know what's up with that, I thought when something was dismissed it didn't hit your record period.

Good luck... seems to be a good job.
There's many good LTL jobs out there. Can't say the same about OTR jobs.

I'm sure I'll find out at orientation, but I am curious now, what kind of vacation/Paid time off does Saia offer?

From what my trainer told me, everyone gets vacation Jan. 1st of every year no matter when you start. He says 1st yr gets 1 week, plus 2-5 days pto.
2 yrs get 2 weeks plus 5 days pto. Also you can sell them at a certain point i believe around the end of the yr i think. I might be wrong if someone wants to clarify

^ First "non-complete calendar year" 0-3 days of PTO. First complete calendar year is 1 week plus 5 days. Second calendar year is 2 weeks plus five days. Then it takes a while to get 3-4 weeks. I haven't looked into selling vacation.

Passed my road test. I was nervous about the shifting since I have primarly driven automatic. Driver trainer knew, other than that it went fine. Passed the physical, they got the results back today. As far as I know I am fully approved. They are supposed to call.me.back with a start date. They are doing a lot of hiring right now and there are a few people in line to start in front of me, and couple driver-trainers going on vacation soon. I really hope I won't have to wait long. I was really hoping to start Monday but that is looking highly.unlikely. maybe in a week or two.
