Intro- hope this is in the right stop....

So where to start... I'm a truckers wife and still really new to this life style. A little back round, we've been married four years, have a two year old daughter and live in NC but originally from upstate NY. My husband was an electrician when we first started dating and through our marriage until last summer when we was laid off. He was on unemployment for a bit and having a hard time finding a job, getting his cdl was always something he wanted to do so it just seemed like the time was right. He started training school in sept and was hired on by TMC before finishing school. He finished his training with TMC in December and started driving solo in January.

It has certainly been a rough year from when he got laid off until now. No one could have prepared me for how tough this journey was going to be and continues to be some days. This life style is tough on him, our daughter and I but it has also shown me how strong I am. I wanted him to quit so much in the beginning and called him many nights crying. He almost did quit during the two weeks he spent in DES moines for training. We had
never really spent time away from each other since being married so it was really tough. However things have got a lot smoother the last couple months and I've learned just to do everything myself lol I did before we
were married but I got so dependent on him while being married because we were always side by side so I
think it's been good in that aspect for us. He's home most weekends and I don't cry when he leaves on
Sunday's now and when he gets stuck out it's not as heart breaking as in the beginning. We've got a routine
now and that helps a lot and as much as I hated him trucking in the beginning I've
come to terms with it and even enjoy it a bit. We talk more now then we did before it seems and I think that helps

Sorry this got so long I sort of rambled on. I hope I posted this in the correct spot and I look forward to getting to know you all, along with support from other wives.
