I've been wandering around the forums a little bit here and thought I'd finally create a profile and get more involved, so...
I've thought about driving a truck as a career for a few years now. I'm a former Marine and have been working as a DoD Contractor for the last several years but with the budget cuts our contract was terminated and not exactly easy finding work with my specific "skill set".
I'm using the WIA Program as a Dislocated Worker to get into a Driving School. Carolina Trucking Academy in Raleigh, NC. Turns out my GI Bill I put money into back in the day was only good for 10 years after your EAS (must have missed that in the fine print!).
Anyway, I'll be lurking around some more and get a few questions in now and then.
