I may not understand but a 2000 watt inverter generator should be able to run a 1500 watt space heater even with the start-up spike.
Is that not correct?

You could turn it to a 1000 watts. It's hard to say. Often the power numbers are over stated.truckdriver31 Thanks this.

I'm saying using a non inverter generator for a tv. I use an invertor for my tv and to charge my electronics. A $350 3500 watt generator how clean is the power? Idk. It's good enough for job sites. TV's????truckdriver31 Thanks this.

A DOT gas can is fine. 8 gals max. Generator can not be gravity fed, has to have a fuel pump. This is what I've been told when I asked.
See lots of trucks that have generators that are gravity fed? I guess they dont bother with it much?truckdriver31 Thanks this.
