I had a Xantrex 1800 watt inverter to power my 110 frig, Microwave, TV etc etc.... And had no problems with my CB. But, when the Xantrex went out, I put my older Cobra inverter in. Hooking it up exactly as my Xantrex. When I turned on my CB, the meter, which was usually on the low side and very little noise, is now pegging way past the middle and I've got to squelch a lot more and turn my RF at least 2/3rds.......
I understand that the Cobra inverter is a POS, and basically junk. But, reguardless, is there a way to hook something up differently, cover the inverter or something to reduce the noise?
I have my CB (Galaxy 95T2) wired to the hot side of the battery and grounded to the frame.
