The starter motor on my new hyundai only pulls 80 amps.

    Somehow i don't see a PS4 pulling more amperage.

90 watts, maybe, but not 90 amps. In which case, a 400 watt plug in invertor should be just fine.

The PS4 itself draws up to 150 watts while gaming, plus what ever your tv/ monitor uses. A lot of LCD tvs today use something close to 100 watts. The max recommended via a cigarette lighter socket is 150 watts, that's why 300 watt inverters come with the extra alligator clips.
So a 300 watt inverter will work, but you have to direct wire it. Plus you're close to its max rating, so I would recommend a 400 watt to help keep the heat down.
A lot of electronic items don't like the output from a cheap modified sine wave inverter, they have a noisy output that can be hard on the power supply's. It's best to buy a Pure Sine Wave inverter, they are more expensive. If it doesn't say PURE Sine Wave on the box, then it's not one.
I recently changed my 2,500 watt modified to a 2,000 watt pure sine wave and was surprised at the difference it makes. My microwave used to buzz fairly loud, it's much quieter now. My convection cook top wouldn't even work on the modified, works great now.
And as an odd note, my Scanguage used to pop up spurious error codes several times a day. I haven't had a single code pop up in the month since I changed inverters. I guess the modified one was so noisy that it messed with the trucks electronics.

    90 watts,..

    sorry for the confusion.

They draw 6 amps. Thats more than what a single outlet on a plug in 12v inverter provides. You cant take all the outlets and power combined. They dont work that way.

Those sinewaves were posted on here a few of years back. Everybody was raving up the xantax model. First time i ever heard of sinewave invertors.

I guess I missed the bus on that. First I had seen it.

When I was looking for one for my truck (About 2 years ago) the cheapest I found (In the 2000 - 3000 watt range) was $500. It did not have good reviews so I bought a more expensive model. Has served me well so far.

I have a 32 in TV and a blue ray player running off of an old 500W inverter that plugs in the 12v socket.
    Seems to do just fine.
If I try to charge my laptop while the TV and everything is on it will shut off occasionally.

It is not a true sine wave but works fine.It will bring static in on the CB when on but I keep it turned off while I'm driving anyway.

I have a xantrex pure sine wave inverter. It is 1800 watts I believe and cost over $2000 when I bought it back in 2007. It was used in a mobile office trailer to power a specialized $150,000 computer used for specialty oilfield stuff. It was hooked to a single 12 volt deep cycle battery and then the battery had a fancy xantrex high amp charger connected to it. Basically it protected the computer from power spikes from the generator used to power the trailer. The computer was similar to a desktop and had three monitors that were 20" plus. It worked well.

Anyway I don't use that computer anymore as our current computers run on 220v and have built it power conditioners so I was thinking of mounting this inverter in my truck which is 2007 379.

I know I need to run the power cables straight to the battery but where do people normally mount these things? Inside the sleeper or in the side compartment?

As close to the batteries as possible. Inside the sleeper would be better. Who wants to climb out of their truck to turn it off or on. AND you'll need extensions cords to plug your stuff in.

Every truck i've had one in. was mounted to the bed underside.
