I just downloaded bigroad on my g3....not a fan of electronic logs however the times are a changing so I figure this is a good way to break myself in.....looks good so far........

I believe the law states that you have to have the past 7 days SIGNED by the driver...I just had a driver put out of service for 10 hours for log book viloation cuz he had it on his laptop but could not produce the past 7 days with his signature completed upon inspection at the scale house.
This another case of where reality and regulations need to catch up with technology.OldTruckerReturning Thanks this. -
having a wifi printer in the truck is no big thing.
having it set up and working is a totally big thing. and when i figure it out. i'll let ya know. -
Wife isn't required. I can plug my Iphone charger right into my printer via USB, only thing required would be an inverter to run the printer! -
Adobe has a way of digitally signing their PDF files with the mouse. I wonder if the logging apps have this feature as well, and if they did, would that have been good enough for the DOT in your case, or would they still have wanted you to have printed copies??

The one I posted can be signed right on the phone then printed or emailed, never had an issue.
Taildragon Thanks this. -
i can't plug my phone into my printer. those types of cables just aren't available.
i don't see how an iphone can plug in. cuz i know they don't have a computer type usb plug. uinless you have some type of adapter that i'm not aware of. -
The charge cable is USB on one side, should be able to plug that in I would think. But then again nobody would be making money off of us if it were that easy.

You should have what is called a mini or micro usb plug on your phone if it is a smart phone, they make that plug on one end of a cable and the standard usb plug on the other end, I'm tethered to my phone right now with one. Also, most printers have a standard usb plug on them as well.
