not saying that at all, just letting him know what was told to me by an ins co. my record showed it as gone, but the ins co could still find it. I did have an issue with a clerk who didn't want to enter a ticket as lowered another time. that was something totally different.
BTW he wouldn't be losing a job he's still trying to get one, as I was when I had this. if you had a job they would likely not check it out simply come across as a (in my case faulty speedomoeter) ticket. but when you're trying to get a job they check your record more thoroughly apparently.
is 16 over the same as wreckless driving?

I'm curious, didn't you read the CDL manual that explains about tickets?
-
yes i read it. but as I said I did not have the CDL yet just the permit. Thats why I called and asked if I was eligable for traffic school and they misimformed me
-
Listen to FLATBED.Those 2 tickets will damper your chances greatly finding a company that'll hire you, especially the 16 over.Anything over over 15 mph is considered reckless. Its not that that companies won't hire you but they can't due to insurance reasons.Im pretty sure insurance companies give the final call who and who is not hireable.Whats the name of this school?Id like to ask them why they think that reckless charge is ok.

I understand it was a bid mistake and will make things hard. But watching how some of the truckers out there drive they cant all have clean records but they have jobs somehow.
-
16 over.
That would be...
41 in a 25 zone.
51 in a 35 zone.
61 in a 45 zone.
71 in a 55 zone.
81 in a 65 zone.
91 in a 75 zone.
Which was it for you? What was your emergency that made you go that fast?
And you didn't realize how serious it is?
And, you don't consider these speeds as reckless?
????????????????????
Really? -
thanks moosetek your responce was very helpful. You answered all my questions for me.
not. Anyway since u need to know for some reason it was actually 36 in a 20. Was driving in a 35mph zone, speed limit dropped inexplicably to 20, missed the sign, hit the speed trap, got screwed. The cop even told me they had a "special speed partol" set up because people dont slow down there and had no decresion, they had to ticket everyone. I asked why the speed limit was so low, was there school or something. She said no thats just what the limit is there.
So anyway yea I should have paid better attention, but I missed a sign and got screwed. The conviction looks a lot worse than the crime actually wasOPUS 7 Thanks this. -
I have a 20 over on my record in il, and I never got a reckless charge, I had no issue finding work
-
Since cops seldom stop people under 10 mph I would imagine 16 over is normal for a citation. At least my umpteen tickets were over 15. Some have been played down to help keep me employed so the democrats would stay happy collecting a third of my check.

Everyone is saying insurance will dictate who works and who doesn't but I have a question to ask those people. What about the big companies that are self insured? Does it now come down to how well he can sell himself to them? Do they have internal workings the same as any other company that pays a separate insurance company? Finding a large, self insured outfit to go straight to local may be a tall order however.
Don't get discouraged. It was a simple mistake that anyone else could have made on one of their days when they aren't being their usual perfect selves.
